A Wah Kwong Shipping-owned ultramax bulker ran aground Thursday on the Panara River in Argentina.
The 63,300-dwt Pilatus Venture (built 2016) has been immobilised on South America's second longest river since 1530 local time, according to Argentinian law firm Vega & Co.
The ship is positioned 325 kilometres west of where the river meets the Atlantic Ocean, said Vega & Co partner Alejandro Vega.
He said the vessel originated in San Lorenzo, Argentina's Puerto General San Martin Complex, located within Greater Rosario.
Vega said the ship was fully loaded with about 41,700 metric tonnes of soybean meal destned for ports in Australia & New Zealand. Its draft was 10.4 metres.
