The hull of a CoscoCS tanker has been breached in a collision in Iraq.

Video footage showed a crane vessel hit the starboard side of the 76,000-dwt Tian E Zuo (built 2012) above the waterline.

What looks like ballast water then spews from the hole.

The incident took place at Khor al Zubair on 13 April.

The vessel was anchored in Sharjah, UAE, on Monday morning.

Maritime Bulletin said reports indicated the crane ship had broken loose.

The Chinese ship is operated by Cosco Shipping Tanker Shanghai.
