Maersk Line and MSC containerships have been involved in a collision in Peru.
A video published by the Portal Portuario website shows the impact between vessels named as the 4,258-dwt Laura Maersk (built 2001) and the 11,037-teu MSC Shuba B (built 2017) in the port of Callao on 24 March.
Footage shows the Maersk vessel manoeuvering with tugs when its bow comes into contact with the stern of the other vessel.
The Maersk ship then moves to port to pass the MSC vessel.
Only minor damage was caused, the report said.
Maersk Line told TradeWinds: "We can confirm that the Laura Maersk was involved in a minor impact with MSC Shuba in the port of Callao, Peru, on March 24 at 06.05 local time.
"There was no damage to cargo on board and all the Laura Maersk crew are safe. Laura Maersk suffered minor damage and was cleared for her onward journey on Saturday March 24, as planned to Buenaventura, Colombia.’
The vessel was operating on the AC1 service which connects Latin America and Asia.
The ships were underway off South America on Monday, according to AIS data.
