The Singaporean firm will net $378m to construct a subseaconstruction vessel for BP for operation in the Caspian Sea.
BP will deploy the vessel in the giant Shah Deniz gas fieldfrom delivery in April 2017, Keppel said in a statement.
This is the first major contract for Baku Shipyard since itwas inaugurated last September.
The 62 hectare facility was jointly developed by Keppel andAzerbaijan national energy company Socar and is managed by Keppel.
