South Korea's Samsung Heavy Industries has signed a contract to build a "special-purpose" ship for $120m.
It said on Monday that the vessel will be delivered to a European customer by March 2022.
But it declined to give any further details.
Last year, Samsung also announced a deal for "special-purpose" ships.
These turned out to be two suezmax shuttle tankers for Teekay Offshore Partners, according to shipbuilding sources cited by TradeWinds.
The yard said it has reached 41%, or $3.2bn, of its 2019 order target of $7.8bn.
This is a 28% increase from the $2.5bn secured at the same point of 2018.
It has been strong on LNG carrier deals this year.
