Altera Infrastructure, formerly Teekay Offshore Partners, has sold its last 1990s-built shuttle tanker for demolition.
The Aberdeen-based company said the 126,000-dwt Navion Anglia (built 1999) had gone for "responsible recycling" in Turkey.
The Navion Anglia is believed to have been sold for $6m generating a profit of around $1m.
Ships sold for scrap fetch higher prices on the Indian subcontinent, due to lower environmental compliance costs, where the vessel might have gone for over $16m.
The Navion Anglia has been owned by the same owner since it was ordered for $87m in Spain.
New York-listed Teekay Offshore became Altera Infrastructure last year after a takeover and is headed by Ingvild Saether.
Scrap sales
Early last year the company sold the 126,000-dwt tanker Navion Hispania (built 1999) to Turkey for $270 per ldt.
The company also sold a tanker jointly owned with the Stena Group - the 126,000 dwt Stena Sirita (built 1999) - to Turkey for a reported $260 per ldt.
Altera operates one of the largest bow-loading shuttle tanker fleets with 46 vessels
Earlier this week TradeWinds reported that James Marshall-led Berge Bulk has sold the 263,000-ore carrier Berge Kangchenjunga (built 1994) for scrapping in Bangladesh for $630 per ldt or $15.7m.
