Ardmore Shipping has boosted its boardroom with two shipping chief executives joining as directors.

Pacific Basin Shipping chief Mats Berglund and Carisbrooke Shipping chairman and chief executive Helen Tveitan de Jong are the new faces.

They are replacing Robert McIlwraith and Albert Enste, who have both been on the Ardmore board since it went public in 2013.

Ardmore is still chaired by Reginald Jones, who was influential in the funding of the company via private equity investor Greenbriar.

He said in a statement Berglund and Tveitan de Jong bring extensive industry experience and functional expertise.

Chief executive Tony Gurney, Peter Swift, Brian Dunne and Curtis McWilliams are the other directors.
