Arne Fredly has today bought 1 million shares in Hunter Group, shortly after the tanker owner announced it has sold a VLCC resale contract at a firm price.

The shares were acquired through Fredly's company Apollo Asset Ltd at a price of NOK 3.50 per share or around NOK 3.5m ($400,000) in total.

As a result, Apollo Asset Ltd owns 167,500,000 shares in Hunter Group, of which Fredly is a board member.

The stake is equivalent to 29.1% of the Oslo-listed company's outstanding shares.

As TradeWinds reported earlier today, Hunter has sold a VLCC resale to an unnamed Far Eastern buyer for $98m.

The tanker owner said it is "still in advanced discussions regarding the sale of a second vessel."
