Danish ship fuel group Bunker One is expanding its US Gulf and Caribbean operation with a new tanker.
It said it is adding the 6,900-dwt Waltz (built 2008) in the Bahamas from 1 June.
The ship, owned by Waltz Marine of Athens, will mark the group's entry into physical supply at Freeport.
Georgia Kounalakis, managing director for Bunker One in the region, said: "The continued growth of our physical supply platform will allow our customers flexibility and choice in their fuel purchasing requirements as we enter 2020, creating efficient ‘bunkers only’ port calls.
"Our goal is to support our customers’ operations with effective, safe logistics and appropriate product availability as their preferred marine fuel provider.”
