Kevin Kilcullen has resigned his post as chief financial officer at Team Tankers International.

The Oslo-listed shipower announced the move, effective 17 April, Tuesday morning. The company said he was pursuing "another professional opportunity."

Taking his place will be Jens Gisle Schnelle, Team Tankers' current head of financial planning and analysis.

Kilcullen joined the Hans Feringa-led company in February 2016 from Principal Maritime.

Kilcullen held the same position at the Apollo Global Management-backed firm. His tenure there ended after Teekay Tankers completed its purchase of Principal Maritime in 2015 after the company's New York IPO failed.

Last year, Team Tankers acquired Laurin Shipping and Anglo-Atlantic Steamship. In the summer, Feringa told TradeWinds the company remained "very focused" on further mergers and acquisitions.
