A joint-venture between shipowner d’Amico and trader Glencore is believed to have sold one or two of its vessels.
TradeWinds reported back in June the 47,147-dwt Glenda Megan (built 2009) and 44,999-dwt Glenda Meredith (built 2010) were being marketed for sale.
Brokers now report the Glenda International ships to have been picked up at a price of $19.1m each by a Chinese shipowner.
Other sources suggested just one of the ships, the Glenda Megan, had been committed.
Attempts to reach d’Amico officials for comment on the matter were unsuccessful at the time of writing on Tuesday.
The tankers are among the six listed in the hands of Glenda International.
