Swedish port workers have walked out in a row over union representation.
About 1,000 dockers took strike action on Wednesday at 15 terminals including Malmo, Gavle and Helsingborg, with those at Stockholm and Gothenburg due to follow suit later in the day.
The Local website reported that the Swedish Dockworkers' Union (SDU) had been unable to reach a deal with port companies over collective bargaining.
"[The strike] is not something we want, but we haven't been able to find any other solution," said Henrik Collvin from the SDU.
Employers responded by shutting workers out.
