There are changes afoot at the top of the Teekay companies.
At Teekay Corp, William Utt, chairman since 2015, is stepping down. He will be replaced by David Schellenberg, who will stand for election to the position on a permanent basis at the company's 12 June meeting.
Also departing are chairman emeritus C. Sean Day and directors Tore Sandvold and Peter Janson. The trio are retiring.
Kenneth Hvid, the general partnership's president and chief executive, will replace Day on the board. Peter Antturi will stand for election as a director alongside Schellenberg.
“On behalf of the Teekay board, I would like to thank Sean, Tore, Peter and Bill for their significant contributions to the company over their tenures,” Hvid said in a statement.
Meanwhile, at Teekay Tankers, director William Lawes is retiring after 11 years on the board.
Directors Bjorn Moller and Richard Bronks will not stand for reelection. Schellenberg will stand for election at the tanker owner's 12 June meeting.
Additionally, both companies are shrinking their boards from nine members to seven.
Sticking around
Utt, on Teekay Corp's board since 2015 and chairman since June 2017, will remain on the board of Teekay Offshore, a position he has held since 2017.
Day, a director at the general partnership since 2014 and chairman from 1999 to 2017, will stay on the board at Teekay LNG.
Moller will remain on the board at Teekay Corp, where he served as director since 1998 and chief executive from 1998 until 2011.
The new guys

He was also a managing director at the Jim Pattison Group, one of Canada's largest private companies with interests ranging from signs and packaging to automotive.
Jim Pattison also owns Western Terminals.
Anturi serves as an executive officer of Resolute Investments, which owns 31.9% of Teekay Corp per it's 2017 annual report.
He previously worked at Teekay from 1991 through 2005, rising as high as president of the company's shuttle tankers division. He has been working in the shipping industry since 1985.
