Croatia's Tankerska Next Generation (TNG) has clinched a new charter for one of its MR tankers.
A "prominent charterer" has taken the unnamed vessels for between six and 12 months with immediate effect.
The rate is $17,000 per day.
"The negotiated conditions are thoroughly in line with the company's strategic concept that focuses on the efforts to secure a strong asset base and stable cash flow," TNG said.
"In doing so, TNG minimises the risk of its business operations, by means of balancing the employment of the fleet on voyage charter while still laying emphasis on time charter contracts."
The company has six MRs.
In March it said its 53,000-dwt conventional ice-class vessel Velebit (built 2011) won a year's deal at $14,500 with an unnamed charterer.
The charterer has an option to extend the contract for an additional eight months at approximately $15,500 per day.
Immediately before that, it announced another of its ships was fixed for a year at $16,000 per day.
Brokers said this was the 49,000-dwt Dalmacija (built 2015), taken by Trafigura.
Sources claimed Trafigura also fixed TNG's 49,000-dwt Zoilo (built 2005) on similar terms.
