V.Group has paid tribute to Lars Gerner Jensen, an executive at joint-venture partner Dania Ship Management, who died while on business in the US.
Jensen was in New York when in died on Monday, the company said, without revealing further details.
"Lars was very well liked by colleagues and clients around the globe," a statement posted on the V.Group LinkedIn group said.
"His pleasant bearing and his deep knowledge of his field made him a person that everyone liked and wanted to be with, and he will be missed greatly."
The statement called him a "great advocate" for Dania Ship Management, heading up the Copenhagen office before Mikkjal Poulsen took over last month.
Founded in 2017, Dania Ship Management is a partnership between Nordic Tankers Trading and V.Group.
Jensen, a graduate of the Svendborg Nautical Academy, was with Nordic Tankers when the venture with V.Group was formed.
It handles technical management for both Nordic Tankers and added bulker management in an agreement with Clipper Fleet Management.
