Chinese and South Korean shipbuilders have won six new orders as owners continue to put pen to paper during the pandemic.
South Korea's Woolim Shipping has inked deals for three 6,600-dwt product tankers at STX in Jinhae.
Brokers said the operator of 29 tankers will take delivery of the vessels in February, April and June 2022.
STX delivered three 11,000-dwt tankers to Woolim in 2018.
No price was revealed for the ships.
Meanwhile, French group Rubis has added to its fleet with an order for an asphalt and bitumen carrier at China Merchants Jinling Shipyard in China.
The 15,000-dwt vessel will be delivered in 2022, Clarksons said.
Rubis growing its fleet
Rubis has one small product in operation, plus two more 9,150-dwt ships on order at Taizhou Kouan in China for handover this year and in 2021.
The group, formed in 1990, is an independent French operator specialising in petrol distribution, with business in Europe, the Caribbean and Africa.
It also stores products through its subsidiary Rubis Terminal in France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Turkey.
Also in China, newcomer Hunan Huahang Shipping has reportedly contracted two 668-teu feeder containerships.
These will be ready in 2021 from Yiyang Zhonghai Shipyard.
Hunan Huahang is paying CNY 37m ($5.42m) for each unit, Clarksons said.
The company is listed with no other ships.
