The arms race between cruise lines to attract passengers is not letting up as evidenced by  Norwegian Cruise Line's latest gambit.

The 3,850-berth Norwegian Joy (built 2017) will include a go-kart track on the top deck. The track,  which is a partnership with Scuderia Ferrari Watches, features two levels where 10 drivers at a time will be able to race one another in electric go-karts. Drivers will be able to have their photos taken, which can then be shared with friends and family back home. Scuderia Ferrari watches will, naturally, also be available for purchase at a nearby store.

The Norwegian Joy, which is being delivered this week in Bremerhaven, Germany, is the company's first ship designed exclusively for the Chinese market. She will home port in Shanghai and Tianjin following a christening ceremony in June.
