This year saw the 10th year of what is officially known as the Ladies in Shipping Xmas Lunch.
The group upped its game for this special anniversary by dining at the Artemis Grill, a rooftop restaurant with a great view of Singapore, which hosted 110 women.
“Everyone came ready to help us celebrate this milestone,” the organisers said.
The team behind the annual festive lunch said the food and service was probably the best they have ever had.
Raising a glass
But it seems this year’s attendees managed to drink the venue dry of rose wine. Luckily ample supplies of red and white were also available and the women carried on to Singapore’s China Square for further refreshment.
The event attracts women from across the shipping industry in Singapore, but also from those who either used to live in the island republic or who have simply heard about the event.
This year, the celebrations included five guests from Australia and one from Greece.
