Mexican company Hoteles Dinamicos SA de CV has acquired All Leisure Group’s 15,400-gt cruiseship Voyager (built 1990).
The IHS International Ships Register database indicates that ownership of the vessel was transferred to Hoteles Dinamicos this month.
Online references show that the new owner is a privately owned air taxi service that operates a fleet of small private jets.
Laid up in Singapore
The Voyager has been laid up at a shipyard in Singapore since All Leisure closed at the end of last December. The brand under which it operated, Voyages of Discovery, was later sold to Canadian adventure travel operator G Adventures but the deal did not include the Voyager.
All Leisure had been trying to line up a deal to sell the ship prior to filing for insolvency, and its efforts were later taken over by administrator Grant Thornton.
Hoteles Dinamicos’ plans for the Voyager have yet to be announced. The company could not be reached for comment.
Some industry sources suggest the ship might have been acquired with the intention of chartering it out to an existing European cruise operator.
