Expanding Dutch owner Glomar Offshore has snapped up two OSVs from French giant Bourbon.

Glomar said it had acquired the 1,200-dwt platform supply vessel (PSV) Bourbon Amilcar (built 2009) and the 60-loa multifunctional support vessel (MSV) Bourbon Arethuse (built 2008) for an undisclosed price.

The Indian-built ships are valued at $1.45m and $0.7m respectively by VesselsValue.

They will be renamed Glomar Worker and Glomar Supporter and will be upgraded at Glomar's Globaltic Marine yard in Gdynia, Poland, for subsea work.

The ships will service oil and gas and renewables clients in the North Sea and Baltic.

Glomar has also acquired three 2002-built emergency response ships (ERRVs) from Qatar's Halul Offshore and is upgrading them as standby units for operation in the third quarter.

Grieg Shipbrokers worked on both en-bloc deals.

Glomar has 19 vessels excluding these five additions, including ERRVs, a PSV and standby vessels.
