Mexican authorities have found cocaine hidden in a container that was going to be loaded on to a boxship owned by Singapore’s Pacific International Lines (PIL).
Local media report that navy officers seized around 137 kilos of the drug at the port of Manzanillo, Mexico.
The cocaine was placed in three suitcases in a container supposedly carrying electric showers.
The container was going to travel on the 4,253-teu Kota Lukis (built 2010).
Mexican authorities said the suitcases, which had a similar colour to previous drug seizures, came from Colombia.
According to marinetraffic.com, the Kota Lukis is now continuing its voyage, sailing off the west coast of Mexico.
