Liner giant MSC is debuting a new ro-ro service to West Africa.

It is aiming to win rolling, project and break bulk cargo.

The run starts on 19 February from Le Havre.

Two modern vessels will be deployed, the 6,700-ceu car carriers MSC Immacolata (built 2012) and MSC Cristiana (2011).

They will operate fortnightly between Le Havre, Antwerp, Dakar, Conakry and Abidjan.

"In addition to rolling or wheeled cargo this new service offering will have the flexibility to cover a range of out-of-gauge and breakbulk cargo, which will be typically large, heavy pieces, or critical equipment for specific projects," MSC said.
