Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) is starting a new con-ro service linking Italy and Turkey.
The run will focus on trailers, containers, project cargo and breakbulk.
Ports are Trieste and Izmir.
Two modern con-ro ships will be deployed twice-weekly.
"MSC has been serving Turkey and South Europe markets through the Trieste gateway since 1994 and has a considerable agency presence in the whole Mediterranean area," it said.
"As MSC continues to develop its presence in Mediterranean area, our teams will offer wider service coverage to all our clients."
