Bjorn Tore Larsen’s OSM Maritime has secured a two-ship deal with DFDS.
OSM will provide both technical and crew management for two DFDS vessels trading between Norway and the UK.
Thomas Mork, vice president of technical organization at DFDS, said: “With a major fleet under OSM management and our long relationship with them as crewing agencies, there will be more synergies to benefit from and best practices to share.
“We also hope to learn from working with a global provider of ship services like OSM.”
The two ships involved are the 7,500-dwt Lysbris Seaways (built 1999) and the Lysvik Seaways (built 1998).
DFDS had previously managed the ships in-house, according to a statement.
OSM has won a number of notable deals in the tanker market in the past year, including management of the Hunter Group VLCC fleet and five Transpetro shuttle tankers.
