Carnival Corp plans to pull up anchor on seven brands by this summer, maybe even eight.

The world's largest cruiseship owner with 87 vessels expects to have 14 ships providing revenue sailings in European waters by July.

The Arnold Donald-led behemoth has already been holding itineraries since 20 March on AIDA's 3,300-berth AIDAperla (built 2017) to the Canary Islands.

Carnival plans to start offering short voyages on the 2,194-berth AIDAsol (built 2011) from Kiel, Germany, starting on 22 May and seven-day trips on the 2,050-berth AIDAblu (built 2010) through the Greek Islands from 23 May.

New voyages

In July, the German brand plans to launch new voyages in Germany on the AIDAsol, departing from Rostock through 18 July.

The 3,300-berth AIDAprima (built 2016) is set to start sailing again on 3 July with seven-day voyages from Kiel through 23 October.

Italy-based Costa Cruises resumed cruising on 1 May with the 6,522-berth Costa Smeralda (built 2019) sailing a week-long Italian itinerary.

The 2,260-berth Costa Luminosa (built 2009) resumed sailing with seven-day cruises to Greece on 16 May and will be followed by the 2,260-berth Costa Deliziosa (built 2010) offering week-long jaunts to Greece starting on 26 June.

Starting on 3 July, the Costa Smeralda will offer one-week cruises in Italy, France and Spain.

The 5,260-berth Costa Firenze (built 2020) will debut with one-week itineraries in Italy on 4 July and from 12 September to mid-October.

UK residents only

British brand P&O Cruises (UK) plans to start sailing the 4,324-berth Britannia (built 2015) again on "short breaks" from 27 June through 19 September on round-trip voyages from Southampton around the UK coast.

On 7 August, the 6,264-berth Iona (built 2020) will depart on a seven-night maiden voyage around the coast of the island of Iona and the Scottish Isles, offering itineraries running to 18 September.

Ultra-luxury brand Seabourn plans to resume sailing from Barbados and the British Virgin Islands on 18 July and throughout the Greek Islands beginning 3 August on the 604-berth Seabourn Ovation (built 2018).

Princess Cruises plans to pull up anchor on the 3,560-berth Regal Princess (built 2014) and the 3,660-berth Sky Princess (built 2019) with roundtrip "Seacation" cruises from Southampton around the UK coast from late July to late September.

Carnival's Cunard brand expects to restart sailing for UK guests with a series of domestic voyages aboard the 2,081-berth Queen Elizabeth (built 2010) that will also sail roundtrip from Southampton between July and October.

Voyages on P&O Cruises (UK), Seabourn, Cunard and Princess Cruises will be open only to UK residents.

Holland America Line expects to resume cruising through the Greek Isles on 15 August with four seven-day departures aboard the 2,732-berth Eurodam (built 2008).

Passengers on P&O Cruises (UK), Seabourn, Princess Cruises and Holland America Line must be Covid-19 vaccinated, Carnival said.

Carnival is working with US authorities in an effort to resume sailing three Carnival Cruise Line ships in July from ports in Miami and Galveston, Texas.

The cruise giant also hopes to restart Alaska sailings on some brands this summer.

P&O Cruises (Australia) plans to start sailing again in mid-September.
