Wilhelm Holst is to work full-time as CEO of Oslo broker Lorentzen & Stemoco (L&S) as former Avance Gas chief Christian Andersen joins the company.
Holst has till now been part-time as CEO.
Andersen will become chairman of the company, TradeWinds is told.
He will sit on the board with owner Caroline Tidemand and Gunnar Rydning.
TradeWinds broke the news of his re-emergence in shipping on Wednesday.
Former RS Platou director Holst was recruited as head of global shipbroking at L&S in 2018.
It is expected that the firm will release its 2018 results next week.
