A first cargo from Golar LNG’s newly fired up first floating LNG (FLNG) production unit Hilli Episeyo off Cameroon has arrived in China.

The 146,000-cbm Galicia Spirit (built 2006) arrived at the Jiangsu LNG terminal with a cargo for PetroChina today.

The vessel left Cameroon with its historic shipment on 16 May.

A second vessel, the 146,000-cbm Golar Maria (built 2006) departed the floater off Kribi this week.

This ship is also destined for China with a second cargo for PetroChina.

Dynagas' 155,000-cbm Yenisei River (built 2013), which is on charter to offtaker Gazprom Marketing & Trading (GM&T), is scheduled to be the next LNG carrier to call at the 1.2 million tonnes per annum capacity.

Last month Golar said it had received its long-awaited commercial acceptance from Hilli Episeyo’s charterers Perenco and Societe Nationale des Hydrocarbures.

Golar has said it would start a dialogue on starting up Hilli Episeyo’s trains three and four once it achieved this initial acceptance.
