Louise Nevill has left Norwegian insurer Gard to head JLT Marsh Specialty’s UK marine and cargo broking operations from next year.
Nevill is one of the industry’s most experienced and well regarded marine underwriters.
She joined Gard as UK vice president of marine in February last year.
Nevill previously headed the Lloyd’s marine team at WR Berkley where she joined after a decade as head of marine at Talbot Underwriting.
But her marine insurance career began with Markel in 1996.
At Marsh JLT Specialty she will head a marine team of 200 employees.
