Maersk Supply Service’s newest vessel has won a contract supporting the maintenance of an offshore platform in Danish waters of the North Sea.

The subsea supply vessel Maersk Involver, which was delivered from Cosco Dalian in November 2017, has been fixed to Total Denmark for 107 days, commencing in April.

The 107-metre vessel will provide walk-to-walk and accommodation services while maintenance is performed on the Dan F platform, approximately 220km west of Esbjerg.

The contract's value was not disclosed.

Maersk Supply’s 14,888-bhp anchor handling tug supply vessel Maersk Tracker (built 2009) started a three-year contract in July 2018 to provide multi-purpose field support to Total Denmark, including walk-to-work services.

“This second contract gives us the opportunity to showcase the advanced capabilities of Maersk Involver in the Danish North Sea and continue our cooperation with Total Denmark as a reliable long-term partner,” Carsten Gram Haagensen, Maersk Supply’s chief commercial officer, said in a release.

The Dan F platform is part of the Dan project, which was formerly owned and operated by Maersk Oil before its acquisition by Total, which was completed in March 2018.
