Jesper Bo Hansen has left his post at ZeroNorth.

The shipping veteran announced this week that he would be quitting as the AP Moller-Maersk-backed voyage optimisation platform’s chief revenue officer on Thursday.

He did not say what his next move would be.

“The maritime industry is experiencing a lot of changes these days. So am I, and I have decided to leave my position at ZeroNorth as of end of November,” Hansen said on his LinkedIn profile.

“I want to thank [chief executive] Soren Christian Meyer and the whole [ZeroNorth] team for a great opportunity and while short I leave with a fantastic feeling of where the company is headed and how [ZeroNorth] will impact the maritime industry in the future.”

Hansen joined ZeroNorth in February, having spent five years as managing director at Maersk Broker Advisory Services.

He was also a board member at Team Tankers and worked at Heidmar and Torm.

“The future in the maritime industry is exciting, so is mine and I am looking forward to continuing to engage extensively with my network across the industry,” he said. “More about that soon!”

ZeroNorth was a spin-off from Maersk Tankers. In June, it announced it had completed a $50m fundraising round, with investment from AP Moller Holding, Cargill and PSG Equity.

The company has acquired fuelling technology platform Prosmar Bunkering, bunker marketing platform ClearLynx and digital twin outfit Propulsion Dynamics.

In June, it signed a deal with Unifeeder to provide fuel efficiency data for its 90 container ships.
