PSA International has named Wan Chee Foong as the new chief executive of its expanding logistics operation PSA BDP.

He takes over the role from Mike Andaloro who is set to retire. He will Mike will remain in office till the end of September to support the CEO transition process.

Wan is currently regional CEO Middle East South Asia and head of group business development, PSA. His role will be taken over by Vincent Ng, currently chief financial officer of PSA BDP.

Andaloro joined BDP International in 1986 and has since held several key positions within the organisation.

He was chief operations officer for BDP’s US Operations before moving to Shanghai, China, to be managing director of BDP’s operations in Asia Pacific.

In 2015, he assumed the position of president and chief operating officer of BDP International, and in 2021 took on the role CEO.

After BDP was acquired by PSA in April 2022, he was named CEO of the rebranded PSA BDP. He was also appointed as a member of PSA’s senior management council.

“Mike is a well-respected professional in the global logistics industry and under his steer, BDP International, now PSA BDP, has grown into a leading name in the business,” said PSA International Group CEO Tan Chong Meng.

“He has been instrumental in accelerating the integration and extending the PSA Group’s capabilities to provide agile, resilient and innovative cargo solutions.

“This has led to early wins, such as our appointment to be the logistics service provider for major electric vehicle (EV) battery manufacturer Automotive Cells Company (ACC), and the acquisition of a major stake in ALISAN Logistics in Türkiye.”

Tan added: “Chee Foong is adept at helming diverse teams, managing the intricacies of transformation and long-term value creation in complex market environments.

“He has also spearheaded investment strategies across the globe, in areas such as ports, port+ and cargo solutions, and played an instrumental role in the catalytic acquisition of BDP International to expand PSA’s global supply chain offerings.”

Andaloro said serving BDP for the past 37 years has been a “deeply rewarding career experience”.
