The US Coast Guard is searching for a Carnival crewmember who fell overboard Thursday.
The agency said the 2,758-berth Carnival Victory (built 2000) notified watchstanders that a 37-year-old worker had fallen overboard 30 miles northwest of Cuba yesterday.
The Coast Guard said it deployed a sentry plane and a cutter to conduct the search.
The Victory regularly sails from Miami to locations in the Caribbean.
Next March, the ship is due for a $200m renovation, after which it will be renamed the Radiance.
