Singapore shipbroker M3 Marine Group’s new London spin-off has bolstered its team with a familiar face.

Offshore supply vessel specialist M3 Marine (Offshore Brokers) UK, known as M3OBUK, has appointed sale-and-purchase broker Mili Verma to its board of directors.

Verma will continue to work for Mike Meade-controlled M3 Marine’s Singapore operation in tandem with her new role.

The UK brokerage’s managing director, Robert Day, said: “On behalf of the board, I am delighted to welcome Mili to M3OBUK.

“Mili brings nearly a decade of commercial experience within the offshore and renewables sector, a strong broking background and an extensive client base … which will be invaluable to M3OBUK as we grow the business in line with current market demand and continue to provide the highest standard of client care and unrivalled broking expertise.”

Verma said: “I am thrilled to join the board of M3UKOB, and I look forward to leveraging my skills and experience to support the company moving forward.”

The new director focuses on newbuilding, S&P and chartering business.

Verma has spent four years at M3 since joining from BrightOil, where she was a senior chartering executive for two years.

Before that, she was group commercial executive at Miclyn Express Offshore.

Two recruits from VesselsValue

In November, M3OBUK recruited Charlie Long as a director/offshore broker.

Day, like Long, is an alumnus of valuation platform VesselsValue.

Long was a commercial offshore analyst there and Day was head of offshore.

TradeWinds reported in October that Meade was setting up in London to capture growing demand.
