US-listed Navios Maritime Acquisition has confirmed the sale of its oldest tanker.
It said the 299,000-dwt VLCC C. Dream (built 2000) has gone for $21.75m.
TradeWinds reported last week that Thai owner Nathalin was the buyer.
Nathalin subsidiary Prima Marine now controls the ship as Crystal Star.
Greek brokers had said the Hitachi Zosen-built ship changed hands at $20m, while British ones put a $21.7m price tag on the deal.
Both readings, however, were far above the $17.9m that VesselsValue estimates the ship is worth.
Navios had identified C. Dream as a sales candidate as early as May last year.
