Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) has added two new managing directors to head its operations in the Isle of Man and China.
BP Shipping’s former Americas fleet manager Neil McNeil will head BSM British Isles while Mingfa Liu will be his counterpart in Shanghai.
McNeil said: “Having worked previously with BSM at various stages of my career, this move was a straightforward choice to make.
“The company has a great reputation within the shipping industry and the shipmanagement sector specifically.
“I am really proud to have joined BSM and look forward to making my mark in the newly merged British Isles Ship Management Centre after a number of years working abroad.”
McNeil also spent 13 years at sea with Denholm Ship Management and BP Shipping on a variety of vessels, rising to chief officer.
Liu, who has worked for Teekay Shipping’s newbuild division said her aim is to “provide first class maritime solutions and be the leader in quality shipmanagement, enabling Chinese business partners to achieve their objectives through our international knowledge, experience and innovation”.
