Against a background of escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, security advisory companies Ambrey Analytics and Diaplous Maritime Group are joining forces.

London-based Ambrey Analytics, part of Ambrey Group, and Greece’s Diaplous said their new global digital partnership is a first for the maritime security industry.

The two largest service providers in their sector work with owners and vessels to improve security in the most hostile and complex maritime environments.

They have been particularly busy since the Houthi rebel group in Yemen started targeting shipping in the Red Sea as a response to Israel’s war in Gaza.

Ambrey’s digital intelligence services Guardian and Sentinel will be integrated into the suite of security risk management services Diaplous offers to the shipping and offshore industries.

Chris Charnley, Ambrey Group managing director, said: “We believe that the ability to share our collective intelligence and information together with Diaplous, will help reduce the risks to vessels and their crews around the world.”

“Collectively we leverage knowledge gained in supporting over 100,000 voyages worldwide since our two companies were founded and an understanding of the range of threats to organisations, their assets, and their people in a way unique in the industry,” he added.

The two groups collectively support more than 3,500 vessels every day around the world.

“Filtering out the noise and establishing the facts that impact the decisions we make to help reduce risk and keep people and your assets safe,” Charnley said.

Manolis Lazaridis, chief executive of Diaplous, said the two sides have been jointly investing in innovation and cooperation for more than a year.

“Combining our collective experience, knowledge, and commitment to reducing risk, we have together invested in the innovative solutions of Ambrey Analytics to better serve the industry and our clients beyond just physical security services,” he added.
