Diana Shipping is keeping one of its post-panamaxes busy, sending out the vessel on another fix to a different customer.

The New York-listed company has entered into a time charter contract with BG Shipping, Hong Kong, for the 93,193-dwt Alcmene (built 2010) at $11,500 per day.

The charter is set for eleven months to 14 months, starting today with the expectation that it will earn $3.8m of gross revenue for the minimum period.

Diana Shipping previously fixed the ship for 13 months to 17 months to Cargill at $13,000 per day, according to Clarksons.

The average daily charter rate for an 82,000-dwt panamax stands at $13,650 per day, down from $15,375 in mid-October.

The company's fleet will consist of 48 drybulk vessels once previously announced sales of two panamaxes are closed out.
