Ocean Rig has announced a managerial reshuffle at the same time as relocating its principal offices.
Current president Anthony Kandylidis has been appointed to serve as chief financial officer.
He is also the president of George Economou-controlled DryShips, which has completed its restructuring and broken into the VLGC sector.
Economou’s long standing partner Dimitris Koukoulas has been appointed by Ocean Rig as executive vice-president.
Iraklis Sbarounis will serve as vice-president of business development and Ocean Rig’s secretary.
Sbarounis has spent many years working with entities controlled by Economou.
Michael Pearson is the latest addition to the company’s board with effect as of 3 February.
On a separate development, Ocean Rig said it has relocated to the Cayman Islands.
Economou’s TMS Offshore has agreed to provide additional services to Ocean Rig, while previous agreements with Azara and Basset have been terminated.
