BW LPG saw its second largest shareholder buy more of the Oslo-listed gasship owner after it had just trimmed its stake a month ago.

In a market disclosure, BW LPG said Artemis Investment Management bought 442,953 shares of the company on 7 March, bringing its total holdings to just over 7.1 million shares, roughly 5% of the company.

Based on yesterday's closing, the purchase totalled NOK 18.6m ($2.2m).

The purchase comes roughly one month after Artemis sold off 506,583 shares in BW LPG, cutting its ownership stake to 4.9%.

Artemis is the second largest shareholder in BW LPG, behind the BW Group which has 45% of the stock. Other leading stakeholders include Capital Group and Ameriprise Financial.

Representatives for Artemis were not immediately available to comment.
