VTD Exploitation vessel released after bunker bill paid

Vietnamese shipowner VTD Exploitation & Ship Management has secured the release of its 10,300-dwt general cargo ship GSM 02 (built 2005). The ship had been arrested in Singapore at the beginning of this week.

Officials at the sheriff’s office confirmed to TradeWinds that the set the ship this morning.

The GSM 02 was arrested on Monday by Singapore law firm Oon & Bazul on behalf of marine fuels provider Monjasa, which filed a claim against the ship for an overdue bunker bill.

TradeWinds understands from parties involved in the case that the shipowner has settled the outstanding amount owed.
