Great Eastern Shipping (GES) has reduced its offshore support vessel fleet by selling its oldest platform supply vessel (PSV).

The Indian owner said in a stock exchange filing it has decided to offload the 3,093-dwt Greatship Disha (built 1999).

It will be delivered to its new owner in the fourth quarter. The deal will leave GES with five PSVs, all built after 2000.

Greatship Disha was the only laid-up offshore support vessel owned by the Indian company.

GES controls a fleet of 20 offshore vessels through its subsidiary Greatship India.

The Mumbai-listed company has been active on sale and purchase in 2017, acquiring three suezmax tankers in the past month.
