GOL Offshore has seen its Mumbai-based headquarters taken over by State Bank of Hyderabad.

It said in a stock exchange filing it continues “to occupy the office premises until further notice in this regard”.

The company received the possession notice for Energy House from the bank on the same day that it saw its share price rise by 10%.

This improvement came after Metal Import increased its stake in GOL from 4.12% to 5.39% through the acquisition of pledged shares.

GOL has been facing various difficulties over the past months and has seen five ships taken over by DVB Bank.

A few of its vessels have also been arrested in UK waters over unpaid wages.
