Solstad Offshore has secured employment for one of its construction support vessels off Indonesia.

The Oslo-listed owner has put pen to paper with PT Saipem Indonesia for the 123-loa Normand Installer (built 2006).

It will be deployed on the Jangkrik FPU, part of the Jangkrik Complex Project, which is operated by ENI with Hyundai Heavy Industries also involved.

Solstad will keep the vessel busy for about 100 days starting from the second quarter.

The Norwegian company added that the contract value is confidential among the two parties.

Solstad has started 2017 on a positive note with consecutive contract awards.

Since early January, the company has sealed three deals in Thailand, western Australia and the North Sea.
