State-owned Cosco Qingdao has made a move into the passengership sector with a new order in China.
A 14,000-gt, 700-passenger ro-pax has been contracted at Tianjin Xingang Heavy Industries, Clarksons said.
The vessel will be delivered in 2019, but no price was given.
Cosco Qingdao is better known for its fleet of 16 bulkers, but also has a work/repair vessel.
