Tallink has maintained its profitability levels relatively unchanged in the traditionally strong third quarter.

The passenger ferry owner posted unaudited net profit of EUR 42.8m ($46.6m), compared to EUR 45.2m in the corresponding period of last year.

Its revenue remained stable at EUR 273.5m while the company saw increased volumes in cargo units, vehicles and passengers from July to September.

Tallink added its debt was decreased by EUR 8.3m to a total of EUR 457.9m in the third quarter.

With EUR 116.3m in cash and unused credit facilities, the company said it was in a strong financial position for sustainable operations.

As has been previously announced, Tallink will change its revenue structure starting from the fourth quarter as fewer ships are under charter, which will negatively affect the company’s profitability.
