Russian river-sea specialist Vodohod is behind a new cruiseship order at the domestic Krasnoye Sormovo shipyard.
Russian media said a contract has been signed by the owner with the yard's state parent United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC).
The four-deck vessel will carry 300 people. Delivery is set for 2020.
Construction will be financed under the state Development of Shipbuilding in 2013-2030 programme, introduced by the ministry of industry and trade.
The 141-metre vessel has been designed by Ukraine’s Marine Engineering Bureau and valued at about RUB 2.5bn ($42.19m), PortNews said.
It is the second cruiseship to be built in Russia since the Soviet era. Vodohod is also behind the first, which is underway at USC's Lotos yard.
