Five workers have been killed after an explosion tore through a drillship undergoing maintenance at Cochin Shipyard (CSL) in India on Tuesday.
Local media said another 15 people were injured, but the casualty figures could rise, according to police.
There was also a report of three men still trapped inside the vessel.
A water tank reportedly exploded on ONGC's 9,100-dwt Sagar Bhushan (built 1987) in the morning.
CSL officials said the injured were admitted to the nearby Medical Trust Hospital. All the workers are contracted employees assigned to repair and maintenance works.
The subsequent fire has been brought under control.
Some of the dead were named as Ramshad, Jebin, Jayan and Unnikrishnan.
The injured have suffered burns. One man is in a serious condition.
One of the bodies was said to have been burned beyond recognition.
