Four people are reported to have died and another 88 were missing after a Philippines ferry capsized.
The Mercraft 3 was carrying 258 people and crew when the accident happened on Thursday between Quezon and Polilio Island, according to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG).
The Guardian said 160 people had so far been rescued.
Rough weather was reported at the time, the PCG said in a news conference.
The vessel, operated by Mercraft, was authorised to carry 286 people.
Rescue teams were immediately sent to the scene.
