German shipbuilder Lloyd Werft has chosen its third managing director as it expands it management.
The yard, owned by cruiseship group Genting Hong Kong, said Carsten Sippel will join Carsten Haake and Rudiger Pallentin in running the company.
Sippel will be responsible for the Bremerhaven yard’s finance and IT from 1 October.
For the last nine years he has been in charge of a similar business portfolio as managing director and CFO of Wartsila SAM Electronics in Hamburg.
"I am looking forward to the new assignment," said Sippel. "And also to being in a position to contribute my own business expertise to Lloyd Werft and play an active role in continuing to advance the company’s success".
