Uljanik shipyard workers have gone on strike again in Croatia.

The employees walked out on Monday, less than two weeks after returning to work following a month-long stoppage that began in October.

The government said the strike should not be taking place, however.

It is still trying to secure investment from a new stratgic partner.

Croatia has said it has a letter of intent from Fincantieri over a potential investment, while it is awaiting an answer from Ukraine's Smart Holding.

Uljanik, which has two yards, has been in increasing financial difficulty this year, with orders cancelled and workers taking industrial action over unpaid wages.

It is building two cruiseships for Australia's Scenic Cruises, however, with the prospect of more to come, making it a good potential acquisition for cruise specialist Fincantieri.
